Police Raid Poker Game in Ocean Pines OCEAN PINES- The police raided an illegal poker hall on Friday and arrested one man. The Worcester County State's Attorney's Office said a police task force broke up an illegal gambling ring in the Village Square Shopping Center on Nicholas Lane. Officers said they found 15 people playing "Texas Hold'em" poker in the building. They also said they found $3,000 and thousands of poker chips, along with dozens of decks of cards. Steven Foss, 35, of Ocean City was arrested for gambling and operating a gambling facility. The two charges each carry up to a year behind bars, and he could pay a fine of $1,500. The police also say the poker players will face charges at a later date. The task force was led by the Worcester County State's Attorney and was assisted by the Worcester County Sheriff's Office, the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation and the Ocean Pines Police Department.
